Privacy Policy
Effective September 24, 2026
Antoho helps a group choose a nearby place together. This policy explains what we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you. It applies when you use Antoho's website and rooms. Antoho is operated by Diego Figarella and Carlo Pinilla, and you can reach us at diegofigarella@hotmail.com.
Information we handle
- Your display name, selected emoji, room code, and in-room activity, including preferences, votes, and feedback.
- Approximate location coordinates that you choose to provide, used to find nearby places. We do not request location unless you use that feature.
- Photos, videos, captions, and reactions that you choose to add to a room album.
- A random browser identifier and a per-room access token stored on your device. These keep your room session working and help us understand whether a browser returns to the service.
- Technical information supplied by your browser or hosting provider, such as IP address, device/browser details, and request logs, for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
Dietary preferences can reveal sensitive information. Share only what you are comfortable sharing with people in your room.
How we use information
We use information to create and operate rooms, show nearby places, generate group recommendations, display album posts, prevent abuse, troubleshoot the service, and improve how the service works. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Who can see it
Room participants can see the names, emojis, preferences, choices, and album content shared in their room. Anyone who obtains a room code may be able to view room information; room codes are not private accounts. Do not share personal, financial, medical, or other confidential information in a room or album.
We use service providers to operate the service, including hosting, database, and media storage providers. Those providers process the information needed to perform their service under their own terms and privacy policies.
Google Maps and Places
Antoho uses the Google Maps Platform (including the Places API, and map or Street View imagery where shown) to find and display nearby places. To do this we send Google the search area or approximate coordinates you provide, along with the search filters for your room. Google may also collect information directly from your device when Google content loads, as described in its own policies.
By using Antoho you also agree to Google's Terms of Service and acknowledge Google's Privacy Policy, which describes how Google handles that information. We do not control Google's processing.
AI recommendations
When AI recommendations are enabled, we send an AI provider the information needed to rank and summarize options: room preferences and dietary notes, group choices and votes, and details about the candidate places returned by Google. We do not send your email address or any account credentials, because Antoho does not have accounts. Do not type anything into a room that you would not want processed by a third-party provider.
Recommendations are automated suggestions, not endorsements or professional advice, and they can be wrong. See the Terms of Use.
Retention and deletion
We keep room records and album content for as long as the room and its album remain available, and we do not currently delete them automatically on a fixed schedule. We keep them while they are still needed to provide the service, to resolve a dispute, to prevent abuse, or to comply with the law, and we delete or anonymize them once they are no longer needed for those purposes. If you want something removed sooner, ask us and we will delete it.
Server and security logs are kept only as long as they are useful for diagnosing problems and preventing abuse. Browser session data, including the random browser identifier and room tokens, stays on your device until you clear your browser storage.
How to make a privacy request
Email diegofigarella@hotmail.com and tell us: the room code, the display name you used, and what you want us to do (send you a copy of the information, correct it, or delete it). If you want a specific album post removed, include a description of the post and when it was added. We will ask for enough information to confirm the request comes from the person who submitted the data, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. Because Antoho has no accounts, we may not be able to act on a request we cannot match to a room.
Your choices
You can decline location permission, choose a non-identifying display name, avoid uploading media, and clear browser storage to remove locally stored identifiers and room tokens. Clearing storage may require you to rejoin rooms.
Children
Antoho is not directed to children under 13. The bars and clubs mode, and the combined mode that includes them, are for users who are at least 19 and who meet the legal drinking age where they are. Do not use the service or upload another person's information if you are not old enough to consent where you live.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes and will post the updated date here. Questions, privacy requests, and reports about content in a room album go to diegofigarella@hotmail.com.
